KINGS DESTROY PREMIERES “OLD YELLER” MUSIC VIDEO
Video streaming exclusively at theobelisk.net

BROOKLYN, NY – Kings Destroy, Brooklyn’s emerging stoner/doom rock group, has launched their first music video for the song, “Old Yeller”. “Old Yeller” comes from the band’s self-released debut 7-inch EP, and the video can be viewed exclusively on TheObelisk.net at: http://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2010/06/30/world-premiere-kings-destroy-video/.
“’Old Yeller’ was a collaboration between a filmmaker friend of ours named Dave Danesh, and Morgan Nichols,” explains vocalist Steve Murphy. “The idea surrounding it is pretty self-explanatory and goes hand-in-hand with the lyrics. The song is about how the media has been bought off by the US government, and therefore lost its way in terms of protecting our democracy as the fourth check and balance. So grab a nice cold PBR and hail the demise of our glorious nation.”
Kings Destroy’s debut 7-inch can be purchased online through Noiseville Records at: http://www.noiseville.com/home.html, or digital download through iTunes at: http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/kings-destroy/id367256793.
The self-titled EP was recorded by Mike Moebius at Moonlight Mile studios in Hoboken, NJ, and the track “Old Yeller” can be streamed on the band’s official MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/kingsdestroynyc.
Hailing from the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, Kings Destroy is the spawn of several New York hardcore and punk legends, consisting of members of NYHC staples, Killing Time and Uppercut, and Man’s Ruin Records’, The Begotten.
The band will head into the renowned Water Music recording studio in Hoboken, NJ this June, to record their debut full-length record with underground producer, Sanford Parker (Yob, Pelican, Nachtmystium). The full-length is expected to release this fall.
