HEAVEN SHALL BURN LAUNCHES NEW SONG ON MYSPACE
“Combat” Now Available for Streaming

THURINGEN, GERMANY – Germany’s forward thinking death metal outfit, Heaven Shall Burn, has launched a brand new song, “Combat”, from the forthcoming record, Invictus, on the recently redesigned Heaven Shall Burn MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/officialheavenshallburn. “Combat” joins the newly revealed, “The Omen”, to give fans a taste of what Invictus has in store, when it releases in North America on June 8th, courtesy of Century Media Records.
“Here is the next foretaste of our new album,” states guitarist Maik Weichert. “After launching ‘The Omen’, that was a typical HSB song, the next new track, ‘Combat’, is probably a bit more unusual for us. Still, we are very proud about it. It is straight in your face, which is what it’s all about! The song is about child soldiers which is a social injustice that isn’t dealt with or even acknowledged in several countries in the world.”

HEAVEN SHALL BURN LAUNCHES NEW SONG “THE OMEN” ON REDESIGNED MYSPACE PAGE
New Album due out in June on Century Media Records
GERMANY – Heaven Shall Burn, Germany’s hardest hitting hybrid of metal and hardcore, has launched a brand new track, “The Omen”, from the forthcoming record, Invictus, on the band’s completely redesigned MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/officialheavenshallburn.
Along with “The Omen”, Heaven Shall Burn even added the intro to the album, to give listeners the full flavour of the opening track of Invictus. As on their previous albums, the Icelandic composer and friend, Ólafur Arnalds, did the aforementioned atmospheric intro, as well as the album’s outro.
“There is some exciting new stuff happening on Invictus”, states guitarist Maik Weichert, possibly referring to the highly emotional duet, “Given In Death”, which features Sabine Weniger from Deadlock on vocals, and Sebastian Reichl on guitars. “But to make sure that everybody understands that it is still 100% HSB, we picked ‘The Omen’. I am positive that we’ll have a lot of fun screaming the lyrics together live!”
"The Omen" is proof that Invictus still packs plenty of punch, and will surely not disappoint fans of Heaven Shall Burn’s heavy, majestic riffs, which are ever present in songs such as “The Omen”, “Buried In Forgotten Grounds”, and “Return To Sanity”.
Invictus was recorded at Tue Madsen’s Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark, and was produced by Heaven Shall Burn’s guitarists, Alexander Dietz and Maik Weichert.
A track-by-track, including background information about each song on the record, can be seen on Century Media Record’s Facebook profile at: www.facebook.com/centurymedia (Click on “discussions” or go directly to http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=37756499655&topic=13281).

It is the third part of the “Iconoclast” story, following the 2008 release, Iconoclast, and the 2009 DVD, Bildersturm.
