KILLING TIME RELEASES FIRST STUDIO ALBUM IN OVER A DECADE
‘Three Steps Back’ Out Today on Dead City Records
NEW YORK, NY – For the first time in over a decade, New York City’s influential hardcore punk outfit, Killing Time, is celebrating the release of a brand new studio album, Three Steps Back, out today on Dead City Records. Three Steps Back is Killing Time’s first full-length album since releasing The Method in 1997, and it can be purchased through the Dead City Records webstore (www.DeadCityRecords.com), and most major digital music retailers.
“This album has been such a huge part of our lives for the past two years,” explains Killing Time drummer, Anthony Drago. “We put a lot of ourselves into it. I'd say about ten years of pent up New York Hardcore aggression. We are all extremely psyched to finally have it out there.”
The track list for Three Steps Back is…
1.) Flight Plan
2.) Spaceheater
3.) 24
4.) Cropduster
5.) Mingus
6.) The Accident
7.) Rope a Dope
8.) Inheritance
9.) Half Empty
10.) Lookout
11.) Crouch
12.) AKB
“’Three Steps Back’ brings a welcome dose of that Sick of it All-style street hardcore, simple, stripped-down and unpretentious. It's full of hooks, heart and venom, ganged-up backing vocals, lead-pipe breakdowns and short, sharp songs with equal parts tough-guy machismo, world-weary observation, and a reborn sense of go-get-em optimism and motivation…It's a proud and proper New York hardcore record and it kicks all kinds of ass.” – Blabbermouth.net.
The opening track off Three Steps Back, “Flight Plan”, is available for streaming on the band’s official MySpace (www.myspace.com/killingtimenyhc) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/killingtimenyhc) pages.
Originally formed in 1988, Killing Time took the hardcore scene by storm with their now-classic release, Brightside, in 1989. Featuring former members of Breakdown and Token Entry, Killing Time’s unique blend of hardcore, punk, and metal still continues to influence bands to this day.
Killing Time’s past releases on In-Effect and Blackout Records have sold more than 100,000 units to date.
